Schedule of Activities

  • Deadline for abstract submission: June 01, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: June 30, 2026
  • The submitting author, upon acceptance of the work, must confirm payment of the registration fee by July 12, 2026
  • Certificate issuance date: to be announced

I – Instructions for Submission of Scientific Works

Submissions must be made exclusively through the official congress website.

The submitting author must be registered for the event; however, payment confirmation is not required prior to acceptance.

The following submission categories will be accepted:

  • Scientific Abstracts
  • Videos

The following types of submissions will not be accepted:

  • Systematic or Narrative Reviews
  • Case Reports

Authors may indicate their preferred presentation format:

  • Oral Presentation (Podium Session)
  • Moderated Poster (Printed)
  • Electronic Poster
  • Video Session

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to modify the presentation format according to technical and scientific criteria.

Oral Presentation (Podium Session)

  • 7 minutes for presentation
  • 3 minutes for discussion and questions

Moderated Poster Session

  • 30 minutes for poster display and moderator visitation
  • 4 minutes for presentation
  • 3 minutes for discussion and questions

Electronic Poster Session

  • Digital display with Scientific Committee visitation

Video Session

  • 4 minutes for video presentation
  • 3 minutes for discussion and questions

After submission, an automatic confirmation e-mail will be sent. If the author does not receive it, the restricted area should be checked.

Changes may be made until the submission deadline. After this date, no modifications will be permitted, including title, authorship, spelling, or content.

Submission Instructions:

To submit a scientific work, please proceed as follows:

  1. Access the restricted area through the [My Login] menu using the login credentials created during registration. Additional menus will then become available.
  2. Click on the [Scientific Submissions – Abstracts] menu.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to access the submission form and complete all required fields.
  4. Before submitting the abstract, carefully review all information. Changes will only be permitted until the final submission deadline.
    IMPORTANT: The submitting author is responsible for completing all fields in the online form. All communications regarding the scientific work will be sent exclusively to the submitting author via the registered e-mail address, and it is their responsibility to forward such communications to co-authors.
  5. Select the thematic area and preferred presentation category.
  6. Once the submission process is completed, click the [Exit] button.
  7. After submission, an automatic confirmation e-mail containing the registered information will be sent to the submitting author. Please verify that all information is correct. In the event of errors, access the restricted area and make the necessary corrections. Please note that modifications to submitted abstracts will only be permitted until the submission deadline.
  8. If the confirmation e-mail is not received on the same day, the abstract may not have been successfully submitted. In this case, please contact the support service through the e-mail [email protected], informing the event name and describing the issue encountered.
    1. For future access to the platform, simply enter your E-MAIL/CPF and PASSWORD. If you have forgotten your password, please use the [Forgot my password] option.

II – Important Information

  • Abstracts previously presented at congresses and/or published in scientific journals will not be accepted.
  • There is no limit to the number of submissions per author.
  • Each submission may include 1 presenting author and up to 9 co-authors.
  • The presenter must be listed among the authors.
  • To obtain certificates, at least one author must be registered for and attend the event, presenting the work.
  • Duplicate submissions or submissions lacking concrete data will be rejected.
  • Only actual results, including preliminary findings, will be accepted; statements such as “data will be presented” are not permitted.
  • Submissions must comply with all applicable ethical standards for research involving humans or animals.

III – Instructions for Preparing Scientific Abstracts

Accepted languages: Portuguese, English, or Spanish.

Scientific Abstract

  • Title: maximum of 250 characters, without abbreviations.
  • Abstract body: maximum of 2,500 characters including spaces, excluding title and authors.
  • Recommended structure: Introduction – Objective – Methods – Results – Conclusion
  • Up to 2 tables, images, or graphs may be included with the abstract.
  • Up to 3 keywords.
  • References should not be included during electronic submission. If accepted, references may be included in the final presentation.
  • Do not mention authors or institutions within the abstract text.

IV – Instructions for Video Submission (YouTube Format)

For submissions in the Video category, authors must select the appropriate presentation format and submit a corresponding written abstract.

The video link must be inserted in the designated abstract field during submission as a YouTube link.

IMPORTANT: Videos must not exceed 7 minutes in total duration.

Only videos correctly submitted through the congress website will be evaluated.

ATTENTION: The video must contain audio.

Videos must be edited at standard playback speed. Accelerated or slow-motion footage will not be accepted.

Accepted video formats are:

  • MP4
  • MOV
  • WMV
  • AVI
  • FLV

Videos must not contain evident or excessive commercial bias.

Videos should contain only case-related information. Any information identifying patients, physicians, institutions, or locations is strictly prohibited.

Surgical videos properly uploaded through the congress website will be evaluated based on educational content and audiovisual quality.

Videos that do not comply with these regulations will be automatically disqualified.

The video must first be uploaded to YouTube. After uploading, copy the link from the “Embed” field and paste it into the designated field in the restricted submission area.

If the work is accepted in this category, the author must present the same video previously submitted for evaluation. Authors are strongly advised to deliver the material to the Media Desk in advance to avoid delays during the scientific program.

Instructions for Uploading a Video to YouTube

  • Access the website www.youtube.com
  • Create an account if necessary.
  • Log into your account.
  • Click the camera icon (“Create”) located at the top-right corner of the page, then select [Upload Video].
  • Select the video file by clicking [SELECT FILES].
  • Choose the desired file and click [Open].
  • Complete the required information under the [Details] and [Visibility] sections, including video title and description.
  • Under [Visibility], select the privacy setting “Unlisted” (unlisted videos do not appear in YouTube search results and may only be viewed by individuals with the link; therefore, do not share the link publicly).
  • Click [Save]. All information will be saved once the upload is completed.
  • Copy the video link and paste it into the corresponding field in the congress submission form.

Important: The author or co-author responsible for the submission is solely responsible for timely delivery and correct formatting of the material. The congress organization is not responsible for files submitted after the deadline or with configuration/formatting issues.

  • Female Urology and Voiding Dysfunction
  • Andrology and Men’s Health
  • Pediatric Urology
  • Renal Transplantation
  • Trauma and Reconstruction

VI – Instructions for Accepted Works

Presentations must follow the guidelines sent by e-mail to the submitting author.

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to modify the presentation format according to technical criteria.

Electronic posters must be submitted in the format requested by the organization.

Moderated posters (printed format) must be prepared according to the specifications provided by the organization. Poster printing, transportation, and installation at the designated venue and time are entirely the responsibility of the presenter.

VII – Awards – CPU 2026

The Congresso Paulista de Urologia will recognize the most outstanding scientific works presented in 2026. Evaluation will be conducted by the Scientific Committee based on methodological rigor, originality, clinical relevance, clarity of results, and potential scientific impact.

  • 1st Place: Two registrations for XIX Paulista Congress of Urology, 2027

Best Moderated Poster – CPU 2026

  • 1st Place: Two registrations for XIX Paulista Congress of Urology, 2027

Best Video – CPU 2026

  • 1st Place: Two registrations for XIX Paulista Congress of Urology,2027

Awards will be announced during an official congress session and published on the SBU-SP website and in BIU.

VIII – Publication

Official Congress Proceedings – CPU 2026

All accepted works will be published in the Online Proceedings with ISSN registration.

Publication will be made available in digital PDF format and will remain permanently accessible on the SBU-SP website.

Publication in BIU (SBU-SP Bulletin)

The best works presented in the Podium and Moderated Poster Sessions may be invited for editorial publication in BIU, the printed journal of SBU-SP.

Automatic publication is not guaranteed.

Selection will be made by the Scientific Committee and the BIU Editorial Committee.

IX – Certificates

  • A certificate of acceptance will be issued containing the title, presentation category, and authorship.
  • A presentation certificate will also be issued, including the title and presenter’s name.
  • Certificates will be available in the restricted area after the congress.
  • At least one registered author must attend the event for certificates to be issued.
